Instruction
At Four Star Equestrian you will learn how to ride
with an experienced Trainer with a positive proven program. You will learn
at an accelerated rate acquiring only good habits. We have a nice selection
of school horses and ponies to accommodate a variety of levels including
jumping. Start your riding career off right or join our program to advance
your skills and become an accomplished equestrian.
Training
Amy Gurney estimates she has trained hundreds of horses
spanning over 3 decades in her lifetime. She believes every time a horse is
handled or ridden it is being trained. She includes and shares with her students
Natural Horsemanship techniques with everyday handling of the horses.
Her priority is to always make sure the horses are happy and comfortable which
eliminates most training problems associated with our equine athletes. The rest
is good solid hard work with a classical systematic approach enabling the horse
to gain confidence at each step.
Showing
Anyone can learn how to show and become successful at it.
Four Star Equestrian has a proven program in place to make you a winner! We show
locally and regionally at most of the notable “A” shows, series and Finals
offered throughout New England and beyond including The National Pony Finals.

horses for clients and we can accommodate the sale of approved horses wishing to

Four Star Equestrian's home base is at Hidden Hollow
Farm in Pembroke, Ma which is "South Shore's best kept secret!". Enjoy the
natural beauty and peacefulness this quaint 18 acre hillside farm has to
offer. Complete with frog pond and gentle sloping meadow. The arena is
situated in a tree lined knoll boasting all weather footing and full jump
course. Our horses are expertly cared for by caring professionals and enjoy
all day turn out.
